HEAD Velocity MLT ("MLT" for multifilament) is constructed with a core of 1,000 ultra-flexible microfilaments wrapped with outer nylon filaments and bound using a flexible polyurethane (PU) matrix resin.

While dyed variants (such as Black or Blue) play slightly firmer, the Natural colorway retains the softest impact feel. HEAD applies a slick low-friction outer coating over the microfilaments. This allows the strings to slide effortlessly against one another, facilitating string realignment and snap-back for enhanced spin without the high impact stiffness associated with co-polyester strings.
