The HEAD T.I.P. Red (Tennis Instruction Program) is HEAD’s Stage 3 beginner tennis ball, specially designed for children aged 5 to 8 who are taking their first swings on the court. Developed in partnership with the International Tennis Federation's (ITF) "Tennis Play & Stay!" campaign, it is engineered for play on the smaller Red court format (11 m X 5–6 m).
Performance Profile
- Compression & Speed: 75% Slower. The ball is pressureless and significantly softer than standard tennis balls. It moves 75% slower through the air, giving young beginners ample reaction time to prepare their stroke.
- Low Bounce Height: Kid-Friendly Zone. Produces a much lower bounce height, keeping the ball in the strike zone (between waist and chest level) for young children.
- Over-Sized Dimensions: Easier Contact. Designed larger in size than standard balls, making it considerably easier for beginners to track and make clean contact.
- High-Visibility Two-Tone Felt: Visual Tracking. Wrapped in a bright Red and Yellow two-tone felt that makes it easy for young eyes to pick up spin and flight trajectory.
