The HEAD Speed Pro 2026 is the flagship control model in HEAD's 2026 Speed family. Endorsed on tour by Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, it pairs a 100 sq. in. head with a dense 18x20 string pattern and an unstrung mass of 310 g.

For 2026, HEAD introduced Hy-Bor technology—a high-modulus blend of carbon and compression-resistant boron fibers integrated into the shaft—working alongside Auxetic 2.0 to deliver exceptional torsional stability, a plush impact feel, and pinpoint accuracy on full-out swings.

Performance Profile

  1. Control & Surgical Accuracy: Superior. The tight 18x20 string bed produces a flat, predictable launch angle. Aggressive hitters can drive balls deep into baseline targets without fear of overhitting.
  2. Stability & Mass: Outstanding. Weighing 310 g with a strung swingweight around 328, it absorbs heavy pace effortlessly on block returns and stability at net during rapid volley exchanges.
  3. Feel & Comfort: Plush yet connected. Featuring a flexible frame (~61–63 RA) and Auxetic 2.0 extended into the handle, shock is well-dampened without sacrificing tactile feedback on touch shots and slices.
  4. Power: Player-Generated / Restrained. Unlike typical 100 sq. in. frames that offer free power, the Speed Pro relies on the player's own racquet-head speed and technique to produce depth.
  5. Spin Potential: Moderate. While the larger 100 sq. in. head provides a bigger hitting area than traditional 98 or 95 sq. in. control frames, the dense 18x20 layout yields a flatter trajectory overall.

Best Suited For

  1. Advanced & Competitive Tournament Players: High-level ball-strikers with full, fast swings who prioritize maximum trajectory control.
  2. Heavy Flat Baseline Hitters: Players who like to drive through ball contact with flat, penetrating depth.
  3. Counter-Punchers & Block Returners: Hitters who rely on structural stability to absorb pace from big servers and redirect shots under pressure.
  4. Control Seekers Wanting Forgiveness: Advanced players who want the surgical precision of an 18x20 pattern without giving up the larger sweet spot of a 100 sq. in. head.
