The HEAD Smartsorb™ Tennis Dampener (Silver) is an elongated, strip-style (cable/worm) vibration dampener designed to cover a wider section of the string bed than traditional button dampeners. It provides maximum shock absorption while giving the racquet a sleek, metallic silver aesthetic.

Unlike circular button dampeners that clip onto only two main strings, the HEAD Smartsorb features a tapered, ribbon-like design made from a rubber elastomer compound.

It weaves through multiple main strings (typically 4 to 6 main strings) and securely clips onto the outer main strings at each end. This expanded contact area dissipates string bed flutter across a significantly broader section of the racquet.
