The Head Gravity MP L 2025 (Main Performance Light) is the lighter, more user-friendly version of the standard MP. It is specifically engineered for aggressive young players and high-level recreational hitters who want the signature Gravity feel but need a frame that is easier to swing and manipulate.

The 2025 update brings the same high-end tech found in the heavier models but tailored for a faster, "whippier" experience.

Core Technologies & Updates

  1. Auxetic 2.0: This is the defining upgrade for the 2025 series. Integrated into the yoke and handle, it provides real-time feedback, giving the racquet a remarkably connected and "plush" feel upon impact.
  2. 16x20 String Pattern: Unlike many lightweight racquets that use an open 16x19, the MP L keeps the 16x20 pattern. This provides a flatter launch angle and more precision, helping developing players keep their big swings inside the lines.
  3. Variable Beam (24mm): While the heavier Gravity models use a thinner 20–22mm beam, the MP L features a slightly thicker 24mm beam. This provides the extra "free power" needed to compensate for its lighter weight.
  4. Half Cap Technology: New grommet construction improves the signature "thwack" sound on contact and increases frame durability.

On-Court Performance

  1. Maneuverability: At only 280g (unstrung), this racquet is incredibly easy to accelerate. It excels at the net for quick volleys and is ideal for players who like to flick the ball with their wrist to generate angles.
  2. Massive Sweet Spot: The teardrop head shape is wider at the top, which moves the sweet spot higher. This makes the racquet very forgiving, even if you don't hit the absolute center of the strings.
  3. Arm Comfort: With a flex rating of 57 RA, it is one of the softest racquets in the lightweight performance category. It is an excellent choice for players prone to arm fatigue or injury.
  4. Stability: While lighter racquets can sometimes feel "flimsy" against heavy pace, the Auxetic 2.0 and Graphene reinforcement help the MP L punch above its weight class in terms of stability.

Who is it for?

The Gravity MP L 2025 is the perfect "transition" racquet. It is best suited for:

  1. Competitive Juniors: Moving up from a 26-inch junior frame to their first full-size performance racquet.
  2. Recreational Adults: Who want a high-performance feel without the physical toll of a 300g+ frame.
  3. Aggressive Baseliners: Who prioritize racquet head speed and need a frame that won't slow them down during long rallies.
