The Head Gravity MP 2025 is the "sweet spot" of the Gravity lineup—balancing power, control, and accessibility. While the Pro is for the elite and the Tour is for the precision-seeker, the MP (Main Performance) is built for the widest range of players, from intermediate competitors to advanced hitters who want a faster, more forgiving frame.

For 2025, it maintains its signature massive sweet spot but benefits from a significant upgrade in feel.

Core Technologies & Design

  1. Auxetic 2.0: The 2025 update incorporates this technology into the bridge and the handle. It creates a "crisper" sensation than the previous generation while maintaining the signature soft flex of the Gravity line.
  2. 16x20 String Pattern: This is the "secret sauce" of the MP. It’s slightly denser than a standard 16x19, offering more control on flat shots, but open enough to provide significantly more spin than the Pro's 18x20.
  3. Deep Sweet Zone: The teardrop-shaped head is widest at the tip. This design accounts for the "modern" contact point (higher in the hoop), making the racquet feel much more stable and powerful on off-center hits.
  4. Graphene Inside: Provides a stable foundation, allowing for better energy transfer and a solid feel despite the lighter 295g weight.

On-Court Performance

  1. The "Goldilocks" Feel: The MP is incredibly easy to play with. It’s light enough to whip through the air for defensive shots but has enough "mass in the head" to feel substantial during heavy baseline rallies.
  2. Exceptional Comfort: Like its siblings, the MP has a very low stiffness rating (59 RA). It’s one of the best options on the market for players with "tennis elbow" or shoulder sensitivities who don't want to sacrifice performance.
  3. Forgiveness: Because of the teardrop shape and 100-square-inch head, the "forgiveness factor" is very high. You can get away with slightly late timing more easily than you could with the Gravity Tour or Pro.
  4. Control-Oriented Power: It offers more "free power" than the Pro, but it is still a control racquet at heart. You won't get the "rocket launcher" effect of a Head Extreme or a Babolat Pure Drive; you stay in the driver's seat of the ball's depth.

Who is it for?

The Gravity MP 2025 is the most versatile racquet in the family, perfect for:

  1. Intermediate to Advanced Players (Level 3.5 - 4.5): Who need a maneuverable racquet that helps them transition from defense to offense.
  2. Junior Players: Transitioning to their first "adult" performance frame.
  3. The "Customizer": Because the unstrung weight is 295g, it is a perfect canvas for players who like to add lead tape to tailor the weight and balance to their specific liking.

If you want the plush feel of the Gravity Pro but find the 315g weight too tiring for a three-set match, the MP is your perfect match.
