The Head Extreme Pro 2024 (formerly the Extreme Tour) is the most performance-oriented model in the Extreme lineup. Endorsed by Matteo Berrettini, it is designed for advanced players who want a "spin machine" that doesn't sacrifice the control and feel typically found in a 98-square-inch head.
The 2024 update features a signature neon yellow and pale green cosmetic and introduces Auxetic 2.0 technology for a more connected feel at impact.
Key Technologies
- Auxetic 2.0: Now incorporated into both the yoke and the handle, this technology provides better feedback and a dampened, yet crisp, sensation upon ball contact.
- Spin Grommets: Funnel-shaped grommets that allow for greater main string movement, creating a "trampoline effect" that increases both power and snap-back spin.
- Spin Shaft: Specially engineered to optimize lateral stability, which helps players generate more heavy topspin.
- Sound Grommets: Designed to offer a more satisfying sound and feel while reducing unwanted vibrations.
- Graphene Inside: Strategically placed to strengthen the frame and improve energy transfer.
On-Court Character
- Spin & Launch: True to the Extreme name, it offers a high launch angle, making it easy to clear the net with heavy, dipping groundstrokes.
- Precision: Unlike the 100 sq in "MP" version, the 98 sq in head and thinner beam of the Pro offer a more surgical feel, catering to players with full, fast swings.
- Feel: The transition to Auxetic 2.0 has made the racquet feel slightly more stable and "plusher" than the previous generation, though it remains a modern, fast-feeling frame.
