The Head Boom MP L 2024 is a new addition to the Boom lineup, designed to bridge the gap between a performance racquet and a lightweight, maneuverable frame. It takes the user-friendly characteristics of the standard MP and places them into a significantly lighter "L" (Lite) package.

Core Technologies

  1. Auxetic 2.0: Just like the heavier Pro and MP models, the MP L features Auxetic materials in the yoke and now the handle. This provides a more consistent, solid feel and better feedback regardless of where you strike the ball on the string bed.
  2. Morph Beam: Combines a square-shaped shaft (for traditional feel and control) with a more rounded, powerful head shape.
  3. Uni Pattern: A uniform string spacing designed to ensure the ball flies off the racquet with a predictable trajectory every time.
  4. Directional Drilling & Power Grommets: These work together to allow the strings to move more freely, which maximizes the "trampoline effect" for easy power and a softer impact on the arm.

Performance Profile

  1. Ultra-Maneuverable: At 270g, this is one of the easiest performance-style racquets to swing. It is designed for players who find the standard 295g MP too taxing over long matches or who need help generating racquet head speed.
  2. Spin Friendly: The combination of the lightweight frame and the open 16x19 string pattern makes it very easy to "whip" through the ball, creating high-arcing topspin shots.
  3. Comfort First: The lower stiffness rating (RA) and Auxetic technology make it an excellent choice for players who are sensitive to vibrations or "arm-heavy" racquets.

Who is it for?

  1. Ambitious Beginners: Those who want a "serious" racquet that won't hinder their learning process with too much weight.
  2. Intermediate Players: Specifically those who prioritize speed and agility over raw stability and plow-through.
  3. Juniors: Players transitioning from 26-inch junior racquets to their first full-sized 27-inch frame.
