The Yonex Astrox 100 VA Game (Viktor Axelsen Edition) is an intermediate-level, power-oriented racket from the official Viktor Axelsen Collection. Inspired by the flagship Astrox 100ZZ, this "Game" tier model retains the aggressive, head-heavy DNA of the line while adapting the shaft flexibility to be far more forgiving and accessible for club and developing competitive players.

Performance Profile

The Astrox 100 VA Game is built to help players generate steep, heavy rear-court smashes without requiring elite wrist strength or perfect mechanical timing.

  1. Rotational Generator System: Features Yonex's counterbalanced weight distribution tech (allocating weight across the grip end, frame top, and T-joint). This allows the head-heavy frame to transition smoothly between consecutive shots, reducing head lag during fast exchanges.
  2. Forgiving Power via Medium Flex: Unlike the extra-stiff shaft on the Astrox 100ZZ or 100 Tour, the Game version utilizes a Medium flex shaft combined with NANOMESH NEO. The shaft acts like a spring, flexing easily during the swing to provide extra snap-back power on clears and smashes.
  3. Energy Boost Cap PLUS: Features an improved cap design that stabilizes the shaft against twisting while allowing maximum flexing, giving more energy transfer into the shuttle on steep attacks.
  4. Expanded Sweet Spot: Uses an updated ISOMETRIC head shape to widen the string intersections, ensuring high shuttle repulsion and consistency even on off-center hits.

Best Suited For

  1. Player Level: Intermediate and advanced recreational players looking for high-end Astrox attack power without the punishing stiffness of a Pro/ZZ frame.
  2. Rear-Court Attacking Players: Ideal for singles or doubles back-court players who rely on steep smashes, high clear depth, and aggressive drives.
  3. Players Seeking Power Assistance: Great for developing players who need a head-heavy weight distribution and a flexy shaft to help push the shuttle baseline-to-baseline effortlessly.
